This step-by-step process helps families work together to assess the impact of addiction on the family system, develop healthy relationships, improve the family dynamic, and take steps toward healing.
During family case management, your family addiction coach will guide you through the process – beginning with triaging the home. During this time, you’ll learn about alcoholism and addiction, dig into your family’s history, analyze what has and has not worked, and develop a pre-treatment plan. You’ll also learn about the continuum of care from detox to outpatient therapy, and the intervention process. Next, your family addiction coach will guide you through actions and steps to take while an addict is in treatment, plus educate you on ways to support your loved one through recovery. In the final after-treatment phase, your family addiction coach will work with you and the treatment center therapist to develop a re-integration plan to help the family sustain long-term success.
